We ended the year of 2019 with the Wedding of Michele and John right in our own back yard of Albany, NY. This couple was super sweet all day and were so willing to let us be creative with their shots around town. We started the day at the Hilton Albany where Michele and her girls were finishing makeup and ready to toast the bride. Meanwhile, John was a few floors down hanging with his guys. Michele and her bridesmaids wore adorable red checked pj’s and fuzzy slipper socks as they got ready. Michele put on her wedding gown with the help of mom and her sisters and then had a first reveal with her dad. The couple were getting married right down the road at St. Mary’s Church, so we headed out with the guys first for some pictures and got them ready for ceremony. As the guests finished arriving, Michele and her girls walked over and the couple were married in a Catholic Ceremony in the church. The altar still was decorated with Christmas decor and was just beautiful. After the couple were wed, they exited the church to all of their guests ringing jingle bells outside. We proceeded to the Empire Plaza for some pictures of the Wedding Party and then we all braved the cold temps for some amazing golden hour shots of the couple on the Plaza. We headed down to the SUNY building for some more gorgeous shots before making our way to the venue and then got an idea to stop quickly for something creative. We had been eyeing this awesome building mural for some time now and thought it would be a great backdrop for the couple’s big day. We love the pictures we got with it. When we arrived at 60 State Place, we did some indoor shots of the Wedding Party and couple before everyone went to enjoy cocktail hour. As guests moved upstairs to the ballroom, DJ Scott Hemming got the party started and the couple danced a choreographed first dance. Smile Lounge was on hand as well for guests to take some candid photo booth photos. When the dancing started, everyone was on the floor and at one point the couple were even lifted off the floor by guests. We ended our night with some bank vault photos of just the couple. It was such a fun day. Congrats again Michele and John and wishing you both many blessings and love in your marriage together.
