Lauren & Justin, October 14, 2023, Greywacke Meadows
We hit the PEAK of Fall foliage with Lauren and Justin’s Wedding Day up at Greywacke Meadows. The colors were so vibrant and the weather was CRISP. We had some fun with these two though. Lauren and her girls got ready in the Farmhouse on property, while Justin and his guys were up in the Barn Loft. We were able to get both of their prep. before Lauren got into her gown. Lauren wore her mother’s original wedding gown and had custom embellishments added on to it. It was a touching moment when her and her mom looked at the dress together. The couple had their First Look out in the garden and then we moved around the property for photos. The wedding party and family came out for photos a little later, in front of the barn. The couple were married in a unique Pagan ceremony. Guests with bells encircled the space and the couple literally tied the knot. After the Ceremony, guests made their way to Cocktail Hour and we drove down to the Reservoir with the couple for some amazing shots. I don’t think we’ve ever seen that much color up on the water and it was spectacular to capture. The couple joined their guests for Cocktail Hour and then the Reception began. The couple are big Star Wars fans so all of the Wedding Party and the couple came in with light sabers. After formalities, the Groom was presented with a jersey in what the family called an “Outlaw” Ceremony. Every person marrying into Lauren’s family becomes an “Outlaw” who marries a “Descendant.” They even gave him the nickname of “the Babysitter,” because Justin is great with all the family kids. The dancing was so fun to watch and Justin really could break it down with his moves. We ended the night out in the dark with the couple and their light sabers. Congrats again; Lauren and Justin and thanks so much for trusting Hitlin Photography Inc.
