Merissa & Scott, July 29, 2016, Franklin Plaza, Troy, NY
After years of being a wedding photographer, we’ve had some great opportunities where we are able to capture multiple weddings within one family. I’m not going to lie, this family is one of our favorites. We captured Merissa’s sister, Dena’s wedding a few years back and met Merissa through that wedding. We immediately hit it off with her. This girl has the best personality and is a genuinely nice person. I don’t think she has a mean bone in her body. It is evident she gets it from her family. We have sort of fallen in love with the Saburro family. They are wonderful people and so genuine. We were so excited to be back with them for Merissa and Scottie’s wedding.
The whole wedding party got ready at the Best Western Franklin Square just across the street from the venue. We hit up both Bride and Groom’s rooms and each member of the wedding party were so helpful and fun and Merissa and Scott got ready. The couple exchanged gifts to each other (which they opened separately in their rooms), then we headed over to Franklin Plaza to do their First look in Franklin’s newest penthouse ballroom. We just love the light up there and it never disappoints; photography-wise. This couple is so cute together and Scott’s face shows such admiration for Merissa; it’s adorable. The couple were married downstairs in a beautiful candlelit ceremony and then after their extravagant cocktail hour, the reception was held downstairs as well. Our great friend, DJ Patrick Bergeron knew exactly what the crowd wanted played, because the dance floor was constantly busy. We whisked the couple away as an amazing sunset was occurring outside. It must be something with this family, cause we had an absolutely breathtaking sunset for both weddings we’ve shot. It was a glorious day!
Thanks so much Merissa and Scott for allowing us to capture your day. We were honored to spend the day with you both. We know you two will have a very love filled marriage and we wish you the best; always!
