October Weddings brought us color; but also brought rain. I think the majority of our October weddings had some sort of precipitation in the forecast. For Meaghan and Michael, the day called for showers for the entire day. We packed up our umbrellas and rain coats and made our way to the couple’s home where Meaghan and her girls got ready. Makeup was finishing up and the girls spread out in every corner of the house relaxing before the festivities. The Bride’s mom and Maid & Matron of Honor helped her get dressed and then she had a first reveal with her Bridesmaids. We used the front porch to get some “dry” shots of the girls, and then traveled to Saratoga National Golf Course to meet up with Michael to set up the First Look. Michael looked sharp in his royal blue tux and Meaghan arrived shortly after. The Groom’s reaction during the First Look was priceless. The rain stopped for a short period of time, so we got a few shots outside before it started back up again and we moved to the Ceremony tent to do our Wedding Party and Family Shots. The couple were married in Saratoga National’s beautiful chandelier tent outside. After the Ceremony, we did more couple portraits, but this time with the vibrant fall foliage. The rain made those colors POP. The couple joined in their Cocktail Hour and then everyone made their way into the ballroom where they found their seats. The Insider’s Band was set up and guests enjoyed dancing and great music after a wonderful dinner served by Mazzone. We did make it outside one more time for a night rain shot before we ended the night. Congrats again to Meaghan and Michael. The rain didn’t stop your smiles all day and we love that you both were game for making some beautiful images in the weather. Thank you guys!
