We had a double header weekend back in June and had 2 wonderful couples. This day was all about Heather and William (Bill) over at Old Daley on Crooked Lake. When we did this couple’s engagement session last year, we knew we’d have some fun with them. They have witty personalities and it was easy to joke around as we moved throughout their day. Heather and her girls were finishing getting ready when we arrived. Heather put on a stunning gown with the help of her bridesmaids. Meanwhile, Bill was down int he Groom’s Suite putting on the last of his attire with the help of his Best Man. We went to set up their First Look and the skies opened up with a downpour. Keith and Bill ran inside and we were able to regroup and set up the First Look in the breezeway. Heather and Bill saw each other for the first time and then we moved into their portraits. Great thing about Old Daley is there is an abundance of places to shoot inside and even outside with cover. Another plus is their Indoor Ceremony space is beautiful as well. Since rain was in much of the forecast, it was determined to have the ceremony inside. Party with Mia created a beautiful space with florals and a mauve fabric swag over the fireplace to act as the altar. They were married by our friend Maria in front of their family and friends. While everyone headed to Cocktail Hour, we had a window of no rain to do some photos outside. We quickly got shots of the couple by the lake, the willow tree and front door before it started to sprinkle again. These two enjoyed their time together and never let the weather deter them; which we loved. Guests made their way to Reception which was also beautifully decorated. There was jovial dancing and mingling with friends and we even got a shot of everyone at the Wedding on the dance floor together. We ended the evening with a magical rain shot outside in the dark. Congrats again to Heather and Bill. May you both maintain your laughter with each other through a long happy marriage.
