Alyssa & Rick, The Inn at Erlowest, June 18, 2016
Alyssa and Rick’s wedding was truly a fairy tale in the making. We’ve worked with Alyssa’s family before and knew it would be a detailed filled day with many elements of beauty, fun, and love. Every fairy tale comes with kinks in the chain, and this wedding had a big one. On the day of this couple’s nuptials, Lake George had its annual Fireman’s Parade. When we started the day at the Inn at Erlowest all was bright and sunny, as soon as we went to move down the rode to a private estate where the guys got ready, we ran into a rode block. Our fellow vendors, and amazing videography team of Cheryl Lighthall and her sister Amanda, went ahead of us and gave us a heads up phone call. We called the groom with the change of plans to meet at the church. The parade went through the town, so all major access to town was cut off. We figured out alternate routes and made it to the church. Since the bride was coming after us, they ran into the same snag. Even though the ceremony started later than expected due to this, once it began, it was as if it never happened. Every single one of the wedding professionals and church staff worked seamlessly together to make the day continue on flawlessly. And boy, it turned into one of our most beautiful weddings to date. Big kudos to Erlowest coordinator Alexis Wallace and her crew who helped all day with the time adjustments.
Alyssa was absolutely breathtaking in that Pronovias gown. The ballroom at Erlowest was filled with over 270 guests and the dance floor was moved to the outdoor patio where guests could literally dance under the stars. This couple had everything, a beautiful day, Flowers for DAYS thanks to On Thai, a cool vintage Bentley for transport, an amazing band,; Body and Soul and wrapped the night up with an amazing firework show.
Alyssa and Rick; it was truly an honor. Even with all that went on early in the day, it never showed on the two of you. You two are “lucky in love” and it shows through being around you and all the love and support those around you have for you. Best wishes!
