Taylor & Dave, October 12, 2018, Old Daley on Crooked Lake
What an amazing day we had with Taylor and Dave a few weeks back. It was a cool fall day with just a few spots of Autumn color, but these two were so fun to work with. We began our day at Taylor’s mother’s home, where Wedding Coordinator, Katie O’ was on hand making sure the girls were on schedule with hair and makeup and enjoying their morning. Taylor was in the makeup chair when we arrived. The girls hung out in their cute matching cranberry embroidered shirts while we started shooting details. The dress was laid out beautifully on a dress form upstairs. Taylor is known for her attention to detail and had so many great things for us to capture for the big day. Her best friend Kaitlyn (and Hitlin alumni) was her matron of honor while her other maid of honor, was literally in the hospital after just giving birth the day before. Kaitlyn helped Taylor get dressed and we did some photos out front of her mom’s home. It was then time to head over to St. Pius X to meet up with Dave and the guys. Dave is a smiley guy and he can not take a bad photo. His mom pinned on his boutinneer and we did the guys and his parent’s photos outside of the church. Nate Maloney (Katie’s husband) was on hand at the church to make sure everything was going according to plan. Taylor arrived and had a first reveal with her father outside of the church right before he walked her down the aisle. The couple were married in a Catholic Ceremony and had a grand exit with their wedding party who waved red flags in the air. We then headed over to Old Daley on Crooked Lake for some pictures of the couple and some of the wedding party. It had been a funny fall in terms of fall color, so we took some shots on the gorgeous property and found one very vibrant orange tree that begged for pictures. Remember me telling you about Taylor and her details; well the reception venue was full of them. There were signs out front, custom door mats at the front door, custom pillows on the couches, pumpkins and signage everywhere. It was probably the prettiest we’ve seen Old Daley decorated in the Fall. The reception was nothing short of amazing. The guests danced and partied, and enjoyed amazing food and even a cookie and milk bar later in the evening. It was such a great day. Thanks again Taylor and Dave for putting your trust in us and allowing us to share in your big day. We had a blast with you two.
