Samantha and Blake were married on one of the first days of Spring, but you wouldn’t know it since there was still a bit of snow on the ground. That was okay with us, because we really love how the brilliancy of snow can add a nice glow on skin tones for portraits. Sam and her girls got ready at her parents house, which is just a hop, skip, and a jump over to the Crossings in Colonie. We always love doing pictures there. The ones of the girls are seriously stunning. We met up with Blake at St. Pius X in Loudonville, just as Saturday’s mass was letting out. Weather was cool, but nice enough to get outside for some shots. The ceremony was beautiful inside St. Pius X and as the ceremony ended we grabbed the couple for some pretty interior and exterior shots during “blue hour” at the church. Once we arrived at Normanside Country Club, we immediately got to work shooting details in the ballroom. Coordinator Dave Hostig and his crew from Normanside transformed the space into an absolutely beautiful room. The added touch of pink from DJ Mike Reilly from CT Productions‘ uplights, really added to the ambiance. The guests were ready to party after an amazing cocktail hour spread and we had a blast seeing everyone; even the groom, “cut a rug.” Thanks again to Sam and Blake for choosing us as your wedding photogs and we wish for you two all the love and happiness in the world.
