Liz & Dan, September 4, 2021, The Lodge on Echo Lake, Warrensburg, NY
Still on our Double Header Wedding Weekend for September, and on this day, we captured the Wedding of Liz & Dan up in the Adirondacks. We have been working with Liz for a bit now as she is the GM at the Glen Sanders Mansion. We were thrilled when she asked us to capture her wedding day. Her and Dan are super nice people and up for anything. They love the Adirondacks and knew this is where they wanted to get married. We started the day at Roaring Brook Ranch Resort in Lake George, where Liz and her girls were getting ready. Liz finished up getting hair and MU done, and we did a quick toast with her crew before she stepped into her gorgeous wedding gown. We then hopped in the car and went north a few exits to arrive at the Lodge on Echo Lake. Dan and his guys got ready in a cabin across the lake and thank goodness, Liz’s dad was at the parking lot when we arrived with a golf cart, because he whisked us over there to meet up with them. Actually that golf cart and Liz’s dad were a HUGE help during the day getting us back and forth on property. Liz arrived and had a first reveal with her dad before seeing Dan for the first time in front of the lodge. We moved around the property for photos and then captured wedding party and family before getting ready for the ceremony. The couple were wed on the edge of the lake and then everyone headed to the lodge for Cocktail Hour. Near the end of Cocktail Hour, the sun was setting and we just love the golden hour photos on the lodge deck with these two. The reception kicked off and the couple did their formal dances. We stepped outside again, but this time with a small group of people. Liz surprised Dan with a special remembrance ceremony down near the beach. The group lit biodegradable lanterns in memory of the Groom’s father and other loved ones who could not be with them on their day. They watched as the lanterns drifted outward on the lake. It was beautiful. Congrats again Liz and Dan! Thanks for having Hitlin Photography spend the day capturing your love.

We love doing ring shots with a custom detail from the Wedding. These were the couple’s favor gift to the guests.
The couple wanted to do a special remembrance to the Groom’s father and those who have passed. This was a very touching moment of the day.
