Colleen & Max, August 6, 2022, Old Daley on Crooked Lake
We had quite the day for Colleen and Max’s Wedding in August at Old Daley on Crooked Lake. Colleen was getting her makeup done when we arrived. It was so serene and quiet in the Bridal space and we love that she wore a cherry blossom robe. Max was down the hall with his guys playing a made-up board game. Both got dressed in their respective spaces with the help of their parents. We did their first look at the front entrance and these two were giddy when they saw each other. We made our way around the property, and it was a HOT day, so we moved quickly. On Thai from Surroundings was putting the finishing touches on the flowers on the arbor, when he grabbed the Bride’s bouquet for a quick spritz of water. Now that’s what you call flower service! Both Colleen and Max are only children, so we had their parents come out for some photos of them all together. Their wedding party was small and each person had a role (officiant, flower people, and ring holder). They were a fun bunch. While guests arrived, we finished photos inside and then the couple were married by the lake. During their Reception, Colleen changed into a white dance dress and the couple showed off their dance moves in a choreographed dance. The dance theme continued with a joint parent dance that ended with the couple and each set of parents doing a special dance for the crowd. After dinner, Colleen changed into a purple Chinese gown and we hit golden hour by the lake. She looked stunning all day in each of her gowns. We returned inside and she surprised her groom with a special dance. It was a jovial evening filled with fun and lots of dancing. Congrats again to Colleen and Max. May you have a beautiful long life together.
