Audrey & Joe, Old Daley on Crooked Lake, September 19, 2020
Audrey and Joe are probably one of our sweetest, most friendliest couples. They both always have a smile on their face and really have some of the best personalities. I think it mostly comes from being the proud parents of their fur son; their dog, Colonel Bacon (yup, that’s his name). Bacon was featured in their engagement session and even had a spotlight role as the official ring bearer for this couple’s wedding day. When we arrived, Audrey was getting her makeup done and we shot some candids of her and the girls getting ready up in the bridal suite. Bacon showed up for kisses from mom and then moved over to the Groom suite with us where Joe was in a mid-Zoom call with some of his groomsmen who couldn’t make the big day due to Covid travel restrictions. Old Daley’s Kate Mace set this up with the couple on the big TV in the Groom suite and we know it meant so much to Joe to have them there for part of the day. Audrey did a first reveal with her mom downstairs, and she pinned a family heirloom to the Bride’s bouquet. Audrey then had a special first reveal with her dad in the lobby as well. The couple had their First Look outside under the portico and we moved around the property with our friend and videographer; Leann Fyvie to capture some great stuff of the couple. It was a pretty windy day and we were also feeling the cooler temperatures, so we headed inside to finish up portrait time with family. The couple were married lakeside in front of a very limited guest count. While everyone moved indoors to Cocktail Hour, we used the last remaining golden hour for some pictures and Colonel Bacon took a quick dip in Crooked Lake as well; LOL. The reception was held in the ballroom and guests sat at tables named for all the places the couple had traveled to. Many speeches were made and it was very evident how much love is had for this couple. Our buddy, Rocco from Funk Evolution was on hand to play some dinner music as guests enjoyed the wonderful food from Old Daley. Congrats again Audrey and Joe, you two made us smile all day. We are so happy that you guys were still able to get married this year and we could be there to capture it for you. Looking forward to next year when you have a big reception to celebrate you love with many more family and friends.
