Amanda & Mitchell, October 19, 2019, Carey Institute for the Global Good
It was a gorgeous Autumn Wedding Day for Amanda and Mitchell back in October. We ventured out to the Rensselaerville, NY to the Carey Institute for the Global Good. We love going to new places to photograph weddings at and believe me, this place didn’t disappoint. With acres and acres of gorgeous property, neat homes and buildings on site, and a wooded ceremony to die for, we fell instantly in love with the romance of this venue. Amanda and her attendants got ready in The Stone Crop houses. She was finishing getting her hair done when we arrived. The bride and her attendants wore comfy plaid robes and furry slippers and the vibe was super chill and relaxed. Her mom Cindi helped her get into her gown and we used the bottom floor stairwell for some pictures of the Bride. Mitchell and his guys were next door at the Lake View House playing video games and finishing getting dressed. The couple had their First Look outside on a sunny hillside overlooking the Catskills. We then found so much gorgeous foliage for portraits and then proceeded to their ceremony site via their rented golf cart. We were very much in awe when we first saw the Ceremony site. Floral Designer, Melissa Orth from Poppytree Floral Design outdid herself with a gorgeous floral arch that was dripping with so many flowers, leaves, and wooded elements. Lanterns of different heights added to the atmosphere. We also love how the sunlight spilled in all the right places and created some gorgeous backdrops. The couple were married in front of about 110 people and then everyone moved up to the Huyuck House for cocktails. Groups of deer could be seen playing in the distance as the couple joined their guests. As everyone moved over to the Reception at the Carriage House Restaurant, we caught a beautiful sky for the last big portrait of the couple. The intimate restaurant held the Reception and guests enjoyed a delicious buffet along with an candy apple bar and take home mini pies. Our good friend Brian Garreau played all the big dance hits and the crowd had the time of their lives. Thanks again Amanda and Mitchell for sharing your day with us. Such a great day and one that will surely go down as one of our favorite and prettiest weddings ever.
