Heather & Andrew, August 5, 2016, Albany Country Club, Voorheesville, NY
We were very excited for our double header weekend since we had two great couples and the weather was looking to be amazing. Our first wedding was for Heather and Andrew, who have a larger than life personality, and when we met this couple in our office for their consult; we hit it off immediately. The day started at one of our favorite venues, Albany Country Club, where Heather and her girls were getting hair and makeup done by two amazing artists, Julie Potter and Erin Muller. As soon as we saw Heather, she lit up as if it was show time. We also met up with friend and fellow professional, Al Woodard who tagged along and captured video footage throughout the day. This guy is such a pleasure to work with and each time we work together we laugh and tell jokes with our couples, which really keeps things fun through the day. After capturing the Bride’s details, Heather got dressed in Albany CC’s indoor ceremony room. We absolutely love the light when we shoot in this room and that grand window overlooking the golf course really can’t be beat. Andrew and his guys arrived shortly thereafter and we had the couple’s first look in the same room. Andrew is a class act and he has this debonair look to him. When he saw his Bride for the first time, you could sense how much love he had for her by his expressions. We took the couple outdoors for some formal shots and then met up with the Wedding party for their shots as well. After a beautiful outdoor ceremony, and some more great shots of the couple, everyone entered Albany CC’s grand ballroom where the mood was high. DJ Fernando did his thing and let me tell you, when you have this guy as your DJ, your guests WILL dance. He always knocks it out of the park. We snuck the couple outside for some amazing golden hour images before they headed back in to litterally, ROCK the dance floor.
Heather and Andrew, what can we say, you guys are absolutely awesome and we loved getting the chance to work with you. Your day seemed like a party from the beginning to end and we didn’t want to leave; we were having so much fun. We wish you both all the best!
