The Better Half of Keith Hitlin Photography

We here at Keith Hitlin Photography had such a great season and I first want to thank all of our clients (of which many have become friends) for making it so awesome! Year after year, we get the opportunity to meet so many great people.  And if we are lucky enough, we get to celebrate some of life’s most important moments with them.

But I (Keith) wanted to take a minute to say special thanks to my wife Meg for all the things she does to keep this ship afloat. Many of you see my name on the business card and the website and probably don’t know just how much Meg does behind the scenes!  I can’t even remember the days before Meg joined on full time, nor do I want too!

If you are a previous, current, or future client, you probably already know some of the things Meg does.  Whether it’s setting up a time for a session, getting a contract finalized, or just answering a question, she is always super prompt and helpful to everyone…and that includes making sure I am on the ball too.  Seriously, the reason you get a response from me is because of her! 😉

But did you know that Meg is also our marketing director?  This year she took on the process of getting our work published which was something new for us. We were honored to be feature in several online wedding blogs as well as our printed piece in The Times Union VOW,wedding magazine. All due to Megs hard work and initiative. Most blog posts you see are created by Meghan (except for this one, of course).  And anyone who has a blog of any sort can attest to the amount of hours that goes into a single blog post, especially with photos. Oh, and let’s not forget our social media presence, which has grown so much thanks to Megs addiction to Pinterest.  😉

At a wedding, her presence sets the bride at ease and her female perspective on the wedding day is invaluable!   Family group shots are some of the most important shots of the day and her assistance in coordinating them makes the process move so quick!

But the one thing I am most proud of is some of the amazing images Meg has taken over the years as a second shooter.  What started several years ago as an assistant position has grown into a second shooter role and the results have been awesome.  I couldn’t of asked for a better partner out in the field.  Ok, so enough of this sappy stuff, check out the photos below of some of Meg’s work and leave some serious love for Meggers!

Is this the best groom shot you have ever seen?

I love this for some reason.  Rick looks so calm here.  Meg was hanging with the Groom while I was inside with the bride April.

Such a great moment with Courtney and Guthrie. I love the colors behind them!

While I was switching cameras, Meg got this great moment between Durrell and Patti.

You can never have enough camera shooting during the first dance.  Chrissie and Dan’s wedding.

While I was getting positioned in the middle of the street for the next shot, Meg captured this! Taylor and Tim’s Wedding

We absolutely needed two photographers at Adam and Jillian’s wedding!

Love this one she took with Heather and David at Saratoga National!

This is an oldie from our 2011 seson, but probably one of my all time favs that Meg has taken at Carolyn and Dante’s wedding.

Meg is often positioned towards the back where she can get a great shot as the Bride and her Dad entering the room. Laura and Adam’s wedding at the Mansion Inn.

Katie Anne and Victor at Birch Hill as dusk.  Love it!

One of the favorites from Jerilyn and Nick’s wedding this season at the Albany Country Club.

This is an oldie from a few seasons ago, but I just had to post it!  Again, she has captured that last moment between Bride and Father.  Awesome!

Great shot of Kristen and Mike at Glen Sanders Mansion!

Meg was positioned at the back of the church for Michelle and Patrick’s wedding and got this shot no one else would of seen! Love it!

Meg working hard at Mishanda and Brian’s wedding!

Meg having way too much fun with DJ Fernando at Mishanda and Brian’s wedding. 😉

Abby and Brendan’s wedding was so unique. So glad Meg was there to help capture these amazing colors.

A great reaction to the best man speech at Jen and Brian’s wedding.

And another great shot at Glen Sanders Mansion by Meg!

  1. Thanks babe! Didn’t even know you we’re working on this. What a great surprise this morning. I am so thankful that you introduced me to the love of photography. You’re the best teacher out there. I absolutely adore what I do and the people I get to work with. Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

  2. aww, what a wonderful Valentine to your wife, Keith. You don’t have to convince me – Jim and I knew she was AWESOME from the day she was born – great job, Meghan!

  3. Oh wow…I am crying at both how beautiful Keith’s words are for his professional partner and more importantly his best friend. I am crying because the picture from Laura and Adam’s wedding captures so perfectly the look a bride gives her dad just before you go down the aisle…like “Really Dad? I’m about to do this? Please don’t let me go until I make it down the aisle cuz if you do, I am going to fall on my face!” I am also crying because of the artistic beauty captured in these pictures, especially Jerilyn and Nick with the tree foreground and Taylor and Tim with those little white flowers. I am crying tears of JOY for all of these couples and how happy they are on this day, such as Jen and Brian laughing at their best man, and how Keith Hitlin Photography captured this moment in a way that seems so effortless. Love you Meg (and Keith)!

  5. Both of you did such a great job at Arhianna’s shoot at the museum. I thought getting a 4 year to hold still for awhile would be a challenge. But you took her and the results were fabulous. So again next year for sure.
