How they Met: Michelle and Zach met online. Zach used the pick up line that was Michelle’s go to. He asked if she liked olives (reference from “How I Met Your Mother” TV show). She responded that she loved olives and asked if he seriously just used her own pickup line on her. They went on a drinks date for their first date. Zach was nervous if Michelle would show as she didn’t confirm with a text (she’s not much of a texter), and also she was late as she used a clock in her place that had been broken to rely on time. Zach was patient and waited. Once she arrived, they hit if off right away.
Proposal Story: The two planned a trip to see 2 Broadway shows and stay overnight in NYC for St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Zach knew Michelle loved musical theater and wanted to see his 1st Broadway show with her. Michelle looked at this as one of their typical weekend getaways, but her friend had a feeling it may be more and encouraged Michelle to get her nails done. The only other indication was Zach asking for Michelle’s dad’s phone number randomly to reach out to him. When they arrived in the city, they had dinner at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse and then went back to the hotel for a bit. Zach proposed privately in their room. After that, they attended one show and then hung out at a whiskey bar to celebrate. The next day they celebrated the holiday with green beers before seeing the second show.
Shared Interests: These two admit they are huge nerds who love video gaming. They also love breweries. A weekend trip to VT in the fall to visit a brewery, leaf peep and go to the Cabot Creamery is one of their favorite things to do. They share 2 cats named Kiwi and Tela and also Michelle supports Zach’s Philadelphia Eagles fandom. We met up with them at Whitman Brewery in Saratoga Springs for a neat speak easy vibe engagement session. We can not wait to capture their Wedding day this upcoming November at Hiland Park Country Club.
