OK, so we get the question ALL THE TIME, what happens if it rains on the day of our session? In terms of rain, we typically wait till the day of to decide what to do, because as we are well aware; weather can be unpredictable (even within minutes). We’ve shot in rain many times and sometimes can get some awesome and interesting shots; however, we respect your comfort level as well. We keep our eye on the forecast and if we think it might look like it will be bad at the time of your session, we will call and discuss our options. Any cancelled session is always rescheduled.
For Kristin and Billy’s scheduled Engagement session, we didn’t think we had to worry about rain. The forecast showed a hole in the storms above their location of the family farm in Greenville, so we both decided let’s go for it. The couple love this farm both hang out there a lot. The weather was great until just before the session (literally on the drive there), and the heavens opened up. We made use of the sporatic showers and took cover at times when we needed to. Even though the weather was off and on, the combo of sun and clouds made the session AMAZING (you will see what I mean below)! We can’t wait to shoot their wedding next June at the Glen Sanders Mansion.
Let’s head inside the barn, it’s starting to rain!
