Ya know how in America, people say “Cheese” to get people to smile for pictures? Well, guess what they say in Australia- “NAUGHTY KNICKERS!” If that doesn’t get you to smile, I don’t know what will. Hilarious, right? That is how the day went with Heather and David; we were smiling and laughing non-stop.
But let’s head back to the beginning and how we first met these two. Heather contacted us via email to request info on our wedding packages. Although she is originally from the Schenectady area, it turns out she now lives in Australia! So an in person meeting was not an option, since they would not be state side until around the wedding. So, we offered to do a Skype call with her. It was the next best thing to meeting in person and was such a great way to meet Heather. If I remember correctly, it was night time for us and morning for her! These Skype meetings have helped us connect with many clients that are out-of-state or even out-of-the country. It is so important to meet and talk with us to get an idea of our personality and how we work. In addition, all of our “paperwork” was done electronically, which made things so much easier for these guys.
Now back to the big day! We started the day at Heather’s parents house where the girls were getting ready. Then, we headed over to St. Anthony’s in Schenectady for a beautiful ceremony. Next, we headed to Saratoga National Golf Course for their reception. First order of business was to hop in some golf carts and grab some photos on the course and grounds of this amazing venue. Brian Moak from Moak Films joined the caravan of golf carts as well and captured some great video of these guys! The weather was threatening, but thankfully held off for us. It created some pretty dramatic clouds for some of the photos. Inside DJ/MC Vinny Liotta from Cool Cat Entertainment got the party started and guests had a blast getting their photo booth pictures done by the one and only Tony Gibson from Time Capsule Photobooth. It was so much fun for us to work along with such an awesome group of professional vendors.
We thoroughly enjoyed our entire day with Heather and Dave and look forward to continuing our friendship across the world. You guys ROCK! Congrats and best wishes for a long marriage!
LOVE this ring shot. At the reception they had old photos of relative’s wedding pictures. GREAT idea!
Heather and Dave had this invitation custom made by a relative. Check out the two hearts between the USA and Australia!
