Sarah and Chris’s Wedding occurred on one of those HOT Summer days when the weather called for a about an 80% chance of scattered showers throughout the day. Knowing that the entire day was planned for an outdoor ceremony and reception, we came packed with umbrella’s and plastic bags and figured we’d make some awesome rain shots, like we always do. Well, when we arrived at the Ceremony location, a family member’s house with an amazing view of the Great Sacandaga Lake, the heavens literally opened up. It was NO shower, but instead it rained in sheets; literally. We planned a first look outside, but determined it would be “dryer” to do indoors. Even though the first look was a little more informal, it was nothing short of joyful for the two. Family and some bridal party friends looked on as the couple first saw each other. The couple’s dog Callie even got in for a few shots with the couple, being the official flower girl and all. As we began to do some indoor shots, the skies cleared and the ground quickly dried up. Family members and friends busied themselves and set up the ceremony outdoors and the rest of the day went as planned. The reception was a couple minutes away at Sarah’s family’s Meadowlark Blueberry Farm. The decor was AMAZING and every little detail was thought out so perfectly. As the sun set, the fog rolled in from the rain prior and the most “jaw-dropping” sunset you’ve even seen was had over the blueberry fields. The colors were nothing short of spectacular. Guests danced the night away to Cool Cat’s DJ Chris Wright, and associates, Steve and Beau’s fun and energetic tunes. It turned out to be a fantastic day. Thanks again Sarah and Chris for choosing KHP as your wedding photogs. You two are beautiful people and we wish you a long and beautiful marriage!
