Carolyn and Martin were married on a very beautiful autumn day in Saratoga Springs. The bride and her girls got ready at the Holiday Inn in Saratoga Springs. The crew of Krystal Rose Studio were busy doing hair and makeup when we arrived. The mood in the room was electric and Carolyn was just as calm as could be. The ceremony was directly across the street at The Church of Saint Peter, which made it so easy. Martin and his guys were ready for photos in the side entrance area. After their pics, we headed inside to get some shots of the church. This church has a very unique set up and is almost like a theater-in-the-round. Once the girls arrived, Martin lit up as Carolyn walked down the aisle with her dad. After the ceremony, we walked back across the street and down the steps into Congress Park for some family and bridal party photos. The sun was quickly setting, so we rushed over to our final destination for the evening.
The reception was held at Old Daley Inn’s Saratoga Polo Association, which was a new venue for us. WE just love getting new venues. It gives a chance to capture it in our own special way. Not only did we get some cool shots in front of the score board, but when that sun finally set with all of that open field; well, magic occurred (see image below). Old Daley Inn always does a fantastic job and we love working with their staff any chance we get. It is tradition at Saratoga Polo to do the Sabre Ceremony. It is such a unique thing and is truly spectacular to witness (see those images also). The party was hopping, thanks to Boston’s own Brick Park. They were AWESOME! The reception had everything from the Bride’s own tambourine, to Irish step dancing (Martin’s family comes directly from Ireland) to the Bride serenading her new husband, to a little guy, who rocked the house singing Toto’s “Africa!”
Thanks again Carolyn and Martin for choosing us for your special day! You guys were a blast to work with!
