Alicia & Marco's Albany NY Wedding at Taste Albany NY Wedding Photographer

Alicia and Marco’s Wedding day was full of unique surprises. We started at the couple’s apartment; which if you remember their Engagement session (click here), has one of the most spectacular views of Albany. The guys were getting dressed and making some drinks. We headed up to the roof and for the guys to make a toast to the Groom. We then scurried over to the Hilton Albany where we caught up with Alicia and her girls getting hair and makeup done by the amazing, Kyle Anne Garcia and Valarie Andrews. Alicia is probably one of the nicest people we have ever met. She is super smiley and so easy going. Her positive energy was contagious. Her bridal gown was GORGEOUS. Her aunt works designing and sewing gowns in the Oscar de la Renta fashion house in NYC. So Alicia’s dress was specifically sewn by her. It was stunning.

The ceremony took place at St. Mary’s just down the street. The couple had guests arriving from all over the globe (Alicia’s dad from Spain, a sister from Germany, etc). During the ceremony, the pastor was mentioning how God comes in various forms in our lives, and literally as he was making this statement, something flew into the church. The entire wedding party along with every guest (and professionals included) quickly found out it was a bat. Everyone got a chuckle and let me tell you that thing was FAST. The expression on Alicia and Marco’s face was PRICELESS! We had a ton of time to do portraits so we ventured around downtown Albany and hit up some of our favorite spots. We ended at their reception at Taste. The penthouse is AMAZING at sunset and the couple requested the dance floor be outdoors so everyone would eventually be dancing under the stars. It was unique and really paid off, especially when DJ Jared and Band, Jet Crash Billy started to play. It was a stellar day and we had so much fun. We wish you both all the happiness in the world, Alicia and Marco!
