Kathryne & Tom, June 23, 2018, Hall of Springs
Kathryne (aka Kat) and Tom now live out of the area, but chose Kat’s home state of NY to get married. Kat’s parents still live near by, so we started the day there as the girls were getting ready. All 12 bridesmaids were hanging out in their comfy pink shirts and leggings when we arrived and were watching the World Cup on T.V. Kat and Tom’s dog, Inka was in the house watching all the going’s on. Kat finished hair and makeup and then got into her gown with the help of mom and her maid of honor. The rain started to pick up outside so we did a first reveal with dad inside and then were able to capture a few images of Kat outside before heading to the church to meet up with Tom. Tom’s parents were on hand to take a few pictures with their son and then we set up for the ceremony. The couple were wed at St. Mary’s the Assumption in Waterford in front of about 170 guests. After the ceremony we used the gorgeous wooden doors of the church for a few portraits of the couple. Everyone then drove up to Saratoga Springs to the Hall of Springs where we continued photos outdoors. Since the temperature was nice, the couple decided on their cocktail hour to be held on the veranda which was a nice change. Guests entered via red carpet into the area and we captured some images above of everyone having a good time. Reception was held in the main ballroom and Kat and Tom were announced by the band Grand Central Station who played so many great hits throughout the night. There was no shortage of dancing, especially from the Groom’s Grandmother. A yummy candy station was set up next to the wedding cake and a tower of Cider Belly Doughnuts were there for the taking. Outside, it started to rain again and we set up for a night rain shot which really came out spectacular. Such a fun day full of love and laughter. Thanks again Kat and Tom for choosing Hitlin Photo for your big day!
