Theresa & Gerard, December 30, 2017, The Canfield Casino
We celebrated our last wedding of 2017 with Theresa and Gerard on a snowy December day in Saratoga Springs. Both Theresa and Gerard got ready over at the Holiday Inn on separate floors. We split up to capture both of them getting ready. Once the guys were set, they headed via limo over to Amsterdam for the ceremony. After some toasts of champage in Theresa’s room, she got dressed and we did some portraits down in the hotel lobby and outdoors near a lit fire pit of her and her attendants. We all head over to Amsterdam as it began to snow. The couple were married at St. Mary’s in a Catholic ceremony. The limos waited outside till after the nuptials and whisked the entire wedding party back to Saratoga. We spent the last remaining daylight with the couple around Saratoga’s Congress Park. It looked like a winter wonderland, and both Theresa and Gerard kept warm by snuggling for our cameras. We even got inside the Congress Park Carousel for a few pics before heading inside the Canfield Casino for the reception. Longfellow’s catered the evening and there were an assortment of stations of delicious food for guests to enjoy. Gerard’s grandmother was present and passed down a cake topper that her and her husband had used, along with Gerard’s parents and now the couple. Guests also learned about the “broom dance” that Gerard’s Grandmother explained along with his mother as being a tradition at each family wedding. It was a ton of fun and interesting taking pics of various guests dancing with the broom. Such a unique addition to the day.
Thanks for having us be a part of your celebration, Theresa and Gerard. Wishing you both love always!
