The Wedding of Kristen and Mike, Scotia, NY

Having a wedding in Autumn can be fun because the color scheme is truly beautiful.  Kristen and Mike’s wedding really played with the colors of the season in not only their wedding party’s attire, but the ballroom decor of their reception.  We just love the attention to detail that was incorporated to make this wedding unique.

We started our day at Kristen’s mom’s house where the girls were busy getting all glammed up by the fabulous A & Co. Salon’s stylist and owner April McAllister and her assistant.  Kristen and her girls came out stunning.  As we did our prep shots, we noticed the cute little details that Kristen incorporated into her own attire including her orange “fallish” garter and neat stickers that said “I DO” under her gold sparkly shoes.

We then headed over to the Glen Sanders Mansion where we met up with Mike and his groomsman and got to spend some time capturing some of my favorite solo groom photos to date.  The lovely ceremony was conducted outdoors near the water where colorful mums lined the walkway.  Guests were greeted to a cello and violin player softly playing music and Kristen and Mike were married under Glen Sander’s beautiful gazebo.   Officiant Robyn Posson conducted the ceremony.

The reception was held in the main ballroom and the decor was spectacular.  Hues of orange and brown filled the room and neat pumpkin candelabras adorned the tables.  Probably the most interesting focal point of the day was the creative candy table.  The Halloween themed table included little chalkboards with funny types of candy, like “mummy fingers” or “bat food.”  Vinny Vin from Non-Stop Music had the crowd on their feet the entire reception and the Magnet Man set up shop out on the terrace where guests could make a fun keepsake from the wedding.

It was truly a beautiful day and we had such a blast working with this couple and their family and friends.  Congratulations again Mike and Kristen and we wish you a fruitful marriage!

Check out the neat stickers Kristen added to her shoes.

PROPS to Glenn Sanders for the coolest candy table we’ve seen yet!

You HAVE to get a pic of the person who is your photographer, right?

Fun Vendors we get to work with.  Colie from Glen Sanders, Vinny Vin from Non-Stop Music, and the Magnet Man.  Nice job to everyone!
