Kristen & Chad, May 5, 2017, Old Daley on Crooked Lake
Rain, rain, go away, come back another…. wait! Sometimes rain on a wedding day isn’t a bad thing. On the day of Kristen and Chad’s nuptials, the forecast called for showers ALL day. We do what we do, and always come prepared with umbrellas in hand and plastic bags for the equipment. We hoped that we could at least get outside for a few shots. Well, when rain is what may be, Old Daley on Crooked Lake is the perfect venue. It is great to get underneath the building on their beautiful portico that gives and outside feel but coverage overhead. We even love the front amazing wooden doors that helps for this situation as well. Kristen and Chad are two people that are super chill and went with the flow on their big day. We love how Kristen literally radiates in our images and we caught so many images of Chad just adoring his bride. We started the day at the Comfort Inn and Suites where the girls had hair and makeup done and then everyone moved over to Old Daley on Crooked Lake. The couple had a First Look and were able to get such a great variety of photos ahead of their ceremony so they could enjoy cocktail hour. And… did I mention, it was CINCO D’MAYO? We love How Old Daley laid out a nacho bar and the special drink of the evening were ‘RITAS!
Kristen and Chad, we really had a blast with the both of you. Here’s wishing you many years of bliss and happiness!

We’ve walked through this doorway about 100 times, and thought, AH, GREAT SPOT FOR A PHOTO! Love this!
Some rain, but the Bride is nice and dry
The showers stopped for a little bit so we rushed out to one of our favorite spots.
