We kicked off our 11th year shooting weddings with our 2019 Hitlin Wedding Couple, Ashleigh and Jason. The couple were actually married in December in the Cayman Islands and had a renewal of vows at the beginning of this year in Troy. Ashleigh and her bridesmaids got ready across the street at the Best Western Franklin Square hotel. Ashleigh finished makeup when we arrived and the girls did a celebratory toast to their friend. Meanwhile downstairs, Jason got ready. The couple had a First Look on the roof top of Franklin Plaza. It was a crisp January day, but Ashleigh came prepared with a pretty cranberry shawl which matched her floral bouquet perfectly. We shot the couples portraits on the roof and inside the top floor of the Plaza before heading downstairs for some pics in front of the gorgeous Franklin holiday decorations. The wedding party met us outside for some group pics. The couple said their I Do’s again, but this time in front of around 188 guests. Cocktail hour was served on the second floor and we caught an amazing sunset with the couple back up on the roof. The combination of both Ashleigh and Jason’s ethnic backgrounds came into play during the Reception. A drum announced the entrance of the wedding party into the ballroom and such interesting dance music was played for the guests to enjoy. Ashleigh’s dad made traditional fruit cakes for guests to take home in cute little red boxes that were begging for a ring pic. We had a bunch of fun and this couple was all smiles for us, especially for their second round celebrating their wedding. Best wishes to you both Ashleigh and Jason from Hitlin Photography.
