Adam & Katie’s Old Daley Inn on Crooked Lake Wedding Albany NY Wedding Photographer

We’ve been very excited to post this wedding for awhile now.  Adam and Katie approached us 2 years ago to book our services as their wedding photographers.  Adam’s family has been good friends with Meg’s family for years since Adam and Meg’s sister Erin went to school with each other.  Knowing Adam and then meeting Katie, in an instant we knew they were made for each other.  They just “click,” if you know what I mean.  A little back story about Adam and Katie, they are “theater” people.  Adam is an actor and is the co-founder and technical director of Class Act Productions in the Capital Region.  Katie has produced various plays as well over the years.  The two met each other through their love of theater.  Now you can understand the reasoning behind the “theme” of their reception.

We met up with Katie and her girls over at the Marriott Residence Inn.  Katie’s hair was gorgeous thanks to Cheri Rivette from Just Glamorous Salon and Boutique, and Helen Barboza Centanni from Bella Caras was busily applying Katie’s makeup when we arrived.  The girls joked and had fun drinking some mimosas as Keith and I quickly got to work.  Adam sent over a special card for Katie to read and her expression was priceless.  FUNNY enough, Katie said she picked out the SAME exact card and sent to Adam.  Yup, these two were definitely meant to be together.

We drove over to the The Old Daley Inn on Crooked Lake in Averill Park to meet up with Adam and his Groomsmen.  What a bunch of fun guys.  Not only were they totally chill but literally jumped at the chance when I asked if they could play some poker for some fun shots.  Knowing that Adam really loves to play the game, the series of photos came out great!

Katie put on her dress up in the beautiful bridal suite and Katie’s mom Marjorie had the best expression when seeing her daughter in her dress for the first time.

Adam and Katie were married outside near the lake by Katie’s friend and officiant, Susan S. Pattenaude, Esq.  Everyone giggled at how cute the two were and some of the funny expressions on their faces made the ceremony.

Coordinator Elise Testo from Old Daley Inn on Crooked Lake led the party inside to a gorgeous ballroom set up with the “theme” of theater.  Guests received a “ticket” as their place card and sat at tables named for the many theatrical productions that Adam and Katie worked on together.  DJ Mitch Fraiser provided ceremony music and actually took out his acoustic guitar during salad and sang to all guests.  What a beautiful voice he has.  He continued to play some of the best music we’ve heard at a reception (compliments of Adam’s love for TOTO and the song “Africa” and various other 80’s hits).

It was truly a beautiful day and we are so honored to have photographed this wedding.  Thanks Adam and Katie for choosing KHP to make this day even more special!

Just love the wedding checklist that Katie had laying out.

LOL!  Katie’s expression to Adam’s card

Just priceless, mom!

We are so in love with Katie’s bridal portraits!  She is so confident and stunning in these shots!

AH, the Poker game!  Some of our favorite groom and groomsmen shots!

Check out the look of disgust on Adam’s face!

Even the groomsmen had a sense of humor!

We LOVE this tree Crooked Lake!!
